CMHS Graduate Assistantship in Mental Health Counseling


Eligibility and Qualifications

Candidates for the CMHS Graduate Assistantship (GA) must be actively pursuing one of the following degrees in an accredited academic program:

  1. Masters of Clinical Social Work.
  2. Ph.D./Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
  3. M.A. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology

Application Procedures

Interested candidates should submit:

  1. Completed application forms
  2. Current curriculum vitae
  3. Certification of Eligibility for practicum from Graduate Training Director/ Coordinator

Once an application is received, the applicant will be contacted to schedule an onsite interview with the CMHS Staff. Interviews typically will take one hour and involve responding to questions or training fit and clinical practice. There will also be a clinical role play so that candidates have opportunity to demonstrate their clinical abilities. An interview is required for placement in the CMHS Graduate Assistantship.
